Case Filed Against JS University Chancellor and Seven Others for Demanding Money in Exchange for Marksheet

Shikohabad- JS University has once again landed in controversy. Two students have alleged that they were not given their marksheets, and instead, the Chancellor along with seven others demanded money. On this complaint, the police have registered a case and started an investigation.

Complaint and Allegations

Manish Yadav and Vikas Kumar, residents of Bhendi village in Jasrana police station area, stated in their written complaint that despite passing the B.Sc. Mathematics examination for the session 2021–22, they did not receive their marksheets. According to the students, university staff first demanded ₹500 and then increased it up to ₹1500.

The aggrieved students alleged that when they refused to pay, they were not only threatened but also warned that their future admissions would be blocked.

Police Action

Police have registered a case against Chancellor Piyush Yadav along with seven others. Among those booked, four are university employees. Officials stated that the case is under investigation and further action will be taken based on evidence.

One-Year-Old Dispute

Another aspect of the case is that the incident is one year old. The students had earlier lodged a complaint, but only now has an FIR been officially registered. According to police sources, the matter had long been suppressed at the local level.
