IAS Officer Rajendra Vijay Under Investigation For Benami Properties and Corruption Through His Son’S NGO

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of the Rajasthan Police has launched an investigation into alleged benami (proxy) properties linked to Kota Divisional Commissioner Rajendra Vijay and his family, sources reveal. The ACB is also scrutinizing the financial records of an NGO operated by officer’s younger son, amid suspicions that illicit funds generated through corrupt activities were channeled through this organization.

During recent searches, the ACB discovered that IAS officer owns at least 13 commercial and residential properties, including a showroom in Jaipur’s upscale GT Galleria mall—one of the city’s most premium commercial spaces. These revelations emerged following a thorough investigation prompted by a complaint received by the ACB approximately five months ago, which led to the filing of a disproportionate assets case.

After verifying the legitimacy of the complaint, the ACB obtained a court-sanctioned search warrant on October 1, conducting searches the following day at four of officer’s properties—two in Jaipur, one in Kota, and another in Dausa. According to officials, the assets listed in IAS officer’s Immovable Property Return (IPR) were found to be inconsistent with his actual holdings.

The NGO managed by officer’s son, Sankalp Vijay, who resides at the family’s home on Tonk Road in Jaipur, is now under investigation, with the ACB closely examining its financial dealings.

Although several properties have been identified, officials disclosed that certain documents related to additional assets were not recovered during the recent raids. The ACB had uncovered information about these properties during their five-month investigation and is continuing its search to uncover further evidence. The Director General of the ACB confirmed that both the benami properties and the NGO are central to the ongoing investigation.
