Investigating agencies have arrested a woman from Gujarat in connection with a case involving the alleged transmission of more than 200 threatening emails to government offices and institutions across India. The accused was apprehended in Delhi after investigators tracked a mobile phone number that emerged as a key lead during the probe.
According to investigators, the emails triggered repeated security alerts and compelled authorities to undertake extensive verification exercises. The focus of the investigation is now on determining the motive behind the messages and whether the woman acted alone or received assistance from others.

During the course of the inquiry, officials analyzed digital evidence and communication records. Investigators reportedly identified a mobile number linked to the case, which was found to be active near Gurudwara Bangla Sahib in central Delhi. Preliminary findings indicate that numerous government departments and offices received threatening messages at different times. The case has also drawn attention because of claims made by the woman’s family regarding her health. Relatives have stated that she has been undergoing medical treatment and is unwell. They have urged authorities to take her condition into consideration during the legal and investigative process.
