In a joint operation, the Knowledge Park police and the Agra unit of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force have dismantled an inter-city narcotics network with the arrest of two foreign nationals in Greater Noida. Officers apprehended a Ghanaian national and an Uzbek woman near a metro station in the Knowledge Park area around 6:15 am on Monday, seizing 920 grams of MDMA valued at approximately ₹1 crore in the international market. A Delhi-registered two-wheeler was also impounded during the crackdown, which investigators say targeted an active drug corridor linking Delhi, Greater Noida, Agra, and Lucknow.

Consignment Intercepted During Morning Handover

Preliminary inquiries indicate that the Ghanaian national, identified as Usulor, arrived from Delhi’s Mehrauli area carrying the contraband, while the Uzbek woman had travelled from Agra to take delivery. Acting on local intelligence inputs, joint teams converged on the suspects before the handover could conclude. Officials stated that neither individual possessed a valid passport at the time of arrest, prompting the involvement of the Local Intelligence Unit to verify their travel histories, entry into India, and visa legitimacy. Investigators are also examining background records following preliminary indications that the woman was previously jailed in Agra and the man was imprisoned in Delhi.

Supply Routes Targeted NCR Nightclubs and Rave Events

Investigators believe the seized MDMA was destined for local distribution networks supplying private rave events, nightclubs, and local buyers across Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Agra, and Lucknow. While the exact scope of the customer base is still being assessed, police are examining call detail records, electronic devices, and transport movements to reconstruct the syndicate’s distribution logistics. MDMA, a synthetic psychoactive compound known to cause severe cardiac strain, acute hyperthermia, and neurological damage, continues to command high illicit demand in metropolitan nightlife circuits, prompting authorities to treat local distribution networks as critical targets.

Police Intensify Manhunt for Delhi-Based Supplier

Interrogation of the suspects led officers to an alleged Delhi-based handler identified as Callisto, who is suspected of arranging the manufacturing and bulk supply of MDMA. Police teams are currently pursuing leads across multiple locations in the National Capital Region to identify Callisto, inspect potential local manufacturing or storage facilities, and establish whether the arrested pair were primary syndicate operatives or paid couriers. Further raids are planned as investigators work through communication trails to uncover additional local contacts responsible for facilitating transit and sales.
