Vidisha (Madhya Pradesh) | In a major cybercrime breakthrough, authorities have exposed a large fraud network operating in Vidisha. Fraudsters allegedly created a fake company and carried out cyber fraud across the country using mule bank accounts. Police have arrested two accused and sent them to jail, while one more suspect is being hunted. The total fraud amount is reported to be over ₹23.2 crore.
According to information, the accused established a fake company named ‘Tunity Venture’ in September 2025 and opened a current account at the State Bank of India’s commercial branch on Sanchi Road. After that, large-scale suspicious financial transactions were carried out through this account. Investigations revealed that transactions ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹50 lakh were conducted multiple times.

Police investigation found that more than 150,000 transactions were carried out in this account. Through these transactions, over ₹23 crore was deposited and immediately transferred to multiple other accounts and withdrawn. The network operated through mule accounts, which were used to hide and forward fraud money.
It is reported that despite continuous high-value transactions, strict monitoring of the bank account was not maintained for a long time. When cyber fraud complaints started arriving from different states, an investigation was launched. Subsequently, more than 25 State Bank of India branches across the country took action to freeze the account.
According to police sources, following a complaint from the Patna branch of State Bank of India, the Vidisha commercial branch sealed the account. However, by then, approximately ₹23.2 crore had already been withdrawn by the accused. Only about ₹6 lakh remains in the account.
After receiving information about the case, bank officials were alarmed and immediately filed a complaint at the Kotwali police station. Acting swiftly, police arrested a main accused and his associate and sent them to jail. Both are currently being interrogated.
Police are now conducting a detailed investigation into the entire cyber fraud network. Officials are trying to determine who else was involved in the gang and whether there was any negligence at the banking level. The massive number of transactions and withdrawal of crores of rupees have also raised concerns about banking security systems.
Cyber cell teams are conducting technical investigations to identify other suspects. The incident has raised public concern regarding cybersecurity. Police have urged citizens to remain alert and report any suspicious financial activity immediately.
