Greater Noida, August 21, 2024 — The Future Crime Research Foundation (FCRF) is set to launch its ambitious ‘Cyber Safe Uttar Pradesh’ campaign tomorrow, aimed at bolstering the state’s cybersecurity framework and protecting citizens from the growing menace of cybercrime. The campaign will be officially inaugurated by Dayashankar Singh, the Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge), Government of Uttar Pradesh, who will be the Chief Guest at the event. IIMT Ladder Business Foundation near IIMT Group of Colleges, Knowledge Park III will serve as the venue of the event that will commence from 10 AM onwards on the 22nd of August.

Modeled after the successful ‘Cyber Surakshit Bharat’ initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), ‘Cyber Safe Uttar Pradesh’ seeks to extend cybersecurity awareness and build capacity across the state’s 75 districts. The initiative is a multi-faceted effort that includes public awareness campaigns, cyber hygiene education in schools, and extensive training programs for government employees, corporate entities, and law enforcement agencies.

The campaign’s launch aligns with the inauguration of the Centre of Excellence in Digital Forensics & Incident Response (CoE-DFIR) at the IIMT College of Engineering. This Centre will serve as a hub for research, training, and innovation in digital forensics, addressing the critical need for skilled professionals in this domain.
