Cyber Awareness: Take A Quiz By MyGov To Check Your Cyber Knowledge And Get Free Certificate

NEW DELHI: Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) is spreading awareness in the area of cyber security as well as upgrading the technical know-how of various stakeholders through its month-long Cyber Security Awareness drive by organising various events and activities for citizens as well as the technical cyber community in India.

The month of October is celebrated as Cyber Security Awareness Month Globally. The objective of celebrating this is to raise awareness about the importance of cyber security and ensure that all individuals and organisations have the information they need to be safer and more secure while online.

In this regard, CERT-In in association with C-DAC, Noida is conducting an online session for citizens under Cyber CLOSET project sponsored by MeitY, Government of India.

Meanwhile, Cyber Safe Girl in association with Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA), a programme by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY)  is presenting ” Certificate of Cyber Patriot” to ensure Responsible browsing and to assimilate the importance of “Cyber Safety and Security Best Practices” among the citizens of India. The Session covers general online safety, social media risks and safety, mobile-related frauds and safety, secure digital payment practices etc. These topics have been covered with the help of videos and quizzes. The topics include :

Password and Wi-Fi Security: This module focuses on the importance of wi-fi in our daily life, security risks associated with wi-fi networks, and the best practices to follow for protecting ourselves from these attacks.

General Online Safety: The Internet is an entertaining tool, but it’s important for all of us to know about the risks and dangers that are present online. In this module, you will learn about the threats associated with the Internet, Social Media, and Email and the best practices to follow in order to protect yourself from these threats.

Securing Online Payments: In this module, you will learn what are the risks associated with Net Banking, Credit Card/Debit Card, and Mobile Banking and how we can protect ourselves from these threats.

Mobile Security: In this session, you will learn about Mobile App Security where security risks associated with the mobile apps including malware the attack indicators, and the preventive measures be taken to secure mobile apps.

Securing Your Personal Data: In this module, you will learn that how attackers lure people and how their devices are infected with virus and dangerous software, how websites are gathering our personal information and using it for malicious purposes and what are the best practices to follow in order to safeguard yourself.

There is no fee for participation. This quiz is available on MyGov Platform from 1st October to 31st October 2021. The participants will get a certificate of appreciation online immediately after successful completion of the quiz.
