Bangalore, India – May 21, 2025 — In a significant boost to India’s growing cybersecurity ecosystem, CloudSEK, a homegrown AI-based cyber threat prediction and intelligence firm, has raised $19 million across its Series A2 and B1 funding rounds. The funding marks a turning point in global cybersecurity preferences—where traditionally Western firms have dominated the market, an Indian company is now emerging as a credible, trusted global player.

This round saw participation from marquee Indian and US investors including MassMutual Ventures, Inflexor Ventures, Prana Ventures, Tenacity Ventures, and Commvault, alongside existing backers like the Meeran Family (Eastern Group), StartupXSeed, Neon Fund, and Exfinity Ventures.

From Research Lab to Global Threat Defender

Founded in 2015 by ethical hacker-turned-entrepreneur Rahul Sasi, CloudSEK started as a research-driven initiative with a bold vision: to predict and prevent cyberattacks before they occur. Today, the company is a go-to platform for over 250 enterprises globally—spanning banking, healthcare, technology, and public sector organizations.

“Our mission was never to play catch-up. We built CloudSEK to identify the initial attack vector—be it leaked credentials, exposed APIs, or a compromised vendor—and prevent incidents weeks before they happen,” said Rahul Sasi, Co-founder and CEO of CloudSEK.

Unlike conventional cybersecurity platforms that operate reactively—often identifying threats post-incident—CloudSEK’s platform predicts and neutralizes attacks by scanning thousands of indicators in real-time, using contextual AI models. This proactive approach is earning global acclaim.

A Big Win for Indian Cybersecurity

For years, corporate and government institutions worldwide relied heavily on cybersecurity solutions from the US and Israel. The success of CloudSEK signals a decisive shift in trust toward Indian innovation in the cybersecurity domain.

“CloudSEK has created a great product based on cutting-edge AI, appropriate for the security needs of top global companies. Tenacity is excited about backing and working closely with Rahul and his team to help build a great global technology product company from India,” said Rohit Razdan, Partner, Tenacity Ventures

CloudSEK has already grown its Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) threefold over the past 24 months, maintaining profitability while expanding globally. Over 60% of its new revenue now comes from international clients, with the U.S. emerging as its fastest-growing region.

“CloudSEK has grown 3x in ARR over the last 24 months and continues to grow well above industry standards,” said Kalyan Kumar Vattipalli, VP of Finance at CloudSEK.
“The round attracted significant interest from global financial investors, and we will soon be announcing Series B2 as an extension of B1, both to onboard new investors and to facilitate partial exits for some of our early backers.”

The company boasts a 4.8-star rating on Gartner Peer Insights from nearly 200 enterprise reviews.

Fueling the Future of Predictive Cyber Defense

The fresh funding will be used to accelerate CloudSEK’s product innovation, scale its contextual AI models, and strengthen platform integrations. The company also hinted at an upcoming Series B2 extension to onboard new investors and enable partial exits for some early backers.

“This is the beginning of the next chapter. With strong financial backing and the trust of global enterprises, we’re pushing to make predictive threat intelligence the industry standard,” said Rahul Sasi.
