When the Future Crime Research Foundation (FCRF) announced the Certified Cyber Law Practitioner (CCLP) program, it was billed as India’s first comprehensive legal training initiative designed to navigate the era of data protection, cybercrime, and AI-driven governance. Now, with only a week left before the first session begins on October 25, the demand has surged — hundreds of professionals have already secured their seats.
For many participants, the CCLP is not just a course — it’s a bridge between law and the future of digital regulation.

A Decade of Digital Transformation Meets the Law
India’s rapid digitalisation — from UPI and Aadhaar to AI-enabled governance — has generated an urgent need for legal minds who can understand both statutes and systems.
The Information Technology Act, 2000, once seen as a pioneering statute, now intersects with newer frameworks like the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). But as cybercrimes multiply and emerging technologies blur jurisdictional boundaries, there is a widening skills gap between codified law and cyber realities.
“We’re entering an era where digital evidence, AI accountability, and privacy compliance will define justice delivery,” said Prof. Triveni Singh, former IPS officer and Chief Mentor at FCRF. “The CCLP is not merely a certification; it’s a national necessity for lawyers, regulators, and compliance professionals.”

From CCMP with CERT-In to CDPO — Building India’s Cyber Capacity
The CCLP is the latest milestone in FCRF’s growing academic ecosystem. The foundation’s previous programs have already reshaped professional learning in cyber governance.
The Certified Cyber Crisis Management Professional (CCMP) program, conducted in collaboration with CERT-In, trained over 500 cybersecurity and government officers in national-level response frameworks, crisis drills, and Section 70B compliance.
Similarly, the Certified Data Protection Officer (CDPO) program, aligned with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, saw another 500+ participants from corporate, government, and academic institutions mastering consent architecture, breach management, and cross-border data obligations.

With the CCLP, FCRF extends its reach to the heart of legal practice — covering cybercrime investigation, digital forensics, e-governance frameworks, intermediary liability, and AI ethics under Indian and international law.
Backed by Institutions and Built for Practitioners
An IIT-Kanpur incubated non-profit, FCRF has become a bridge between technology and jurisprudence. Its partnerships span NIELIT (MeitY), RMLNLU, BIRD (NABARD), and UP State Institute of Forensic Sciences, among others.
Sessions in the CCLP will be led by top experts from academia, law enforcement, and industry, including cyber law pioneers, data protection specialists, and legal technologists.
The structure — spread over 16 in-depth modules — includes case laws, live sessions, and real-world examples of cybercrime adjudication, digital privacy litigation, and policy development.
The program’s pedagogy mirrors the multidisciplinary approach of FCRF’s earlier successes: part legal bootcamp, part policy lab, and part national-capacity exercise.

Only One Week Left: Enrolment Closes Soon
With the countdown now in its final week, FCRF is urging last-minute applicants not to miss this cohort.
“Hundreds of top professionals — lawyers, law students, compliance officers, and investigators — have already registered,” said an FCRF spokesperson.
“This is India’s moment to build a generation of cyber-ready legal experts. The next batch will not open immediately, so this is the last opportunity to join before October 25.”
The sessions will be held live, from 11 AM to 1 PM, beginning October 25, 2025. Participants will receive certification from Future Crime Research Foundation, with access to learning resources, case compendiums, and post-session mentoring.
As India’s digital regulation landscape evolves — from AI policy to data fiduciary governance — the Certified Cyber Law Practitioner course stands as both a classroom and a call to action.
