In response to the growing use of drones for surveillance, smuggling, and potential acts of terrorism, the Centre for Police Technology—an initiative by Algoritha Security—is organizing a crucial webinar on “Anti-Drone Technology and Drone Forensics” on June 30, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The event is expected to bring together policymakers, law enforcement, drone security firms, and forensic specialists to address emerging threats and shape future countermeasures.
Participation is strictly limited to verified members of law enforcement, defense forces (central and state), intelligence agencies, and other government security units. Upon registration, all confirmed participants will be sent a Zoom joining link via email.
Spotlight on Speakers: Bridging Technology and Policing
Among the key speakers is Brijesh Singh, Principal Secretary and DGIPR, Government of Maharashtra, known for championing police-tech reforms. He’ll be joined by Stijn Willekens, Co-founder of Active Drone Security Solutions; Robert Fintak, President of the Polish Chamber of Unmanned Systems; and Inspector Rohit Heera of Punjab Police. Together, they’ll delve into the technical, legal, and strategic implications of drone surveillance and disruption.
Theme 1: Unmasking Drone Threats Through Forensics
The first session titled “Drone Forensics: Investigating the Skyborne Threats” will explore:
- Data extraction from seized drones
- Analysis of flight logs and onboard memory
- Chain of custody in drone-related crimes
- Case studies involving smuggling, espionage, and terror plots
These insights aim to empower law enforcement agencies with tools and methodologies to investigate drone-related criminal incidents with greater precision.
Theme 2: Counter-Strategies in a Sky Full of Risks
The second segment, “Emerging Threats and Counter-Strategies in Anti-Drone Technology,” will focus on:
- Advanced drone detection using radar, RF sensors, and acoustic tracking
- Drone mitigation techniques like jamming, spoofing, and directed-energy tools
- Challenges in legal deployment frameworks
- Global innovations in anti-drone systems
Speakers will share real-world deployments and policy gaps to better equip Indian police with smarter decision-making tools.
Theme 3: AI and IoT as Game-Changers in Drone Defense
The final session, “Integration of AI and IoT in Drone Threat Detection and Response,” will dive deep into:
- Real-time behavior analytics using AI
- Smart city integration for urban drone defense
- Autonomous interception technologies
- Predictive analytics for pre-emptive drone threat identification
This section highlights the role of emerging tech in enabling proactive policing in airspace monitoring, especially around high-value and sensitive zones.
As drones continue to redefine modern threats, this webinar by the Centre for Police Technology signals a strong institutional push to bring India’s policing up to global standards. The collaboration of thought leaders, security vendors, and public officials may well lay the groundwork for India’s next-generation drone defense architecture. To Register, Click Here.
