The discussions, the IDS said, reaffirmed a shared commitment to resilient, future-ready forces and a stronger strategic partnership between India and the United Kingdom.

Roundtable Examines Military Transformation

Earlier during his visit, General Chauhan led a roundtable conference with leading officials, think tanks and intellectuals on Indian military transformation, focusing on the evolving strategic landscape and the demands of modern military reform.

According to the IDS, the exchange highlighted the importance of advanced technologies in defence, stronger operational capabilities, and closer synergy across industrial, intelligence and cyber domains. The talks also touched on strategic communication and joint engagements aimed at building a robust and future-oriented India-UK defence partnership.

Ceremonial Reception and Wider Engagements

On Monday, General Chauhan was accorded a Ceremonial Step Line and received by his UK counterpart, Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Knighton, in London. The Indian High Commission in London said their discussions focused on expanding cooperation in cyber, intelligence, industrial collaboration and joint exercises to reinforce global security, stability and resilience.

The CDS also met India’s High Commissioner to the UK, Vikram K. Doraiswami. The material in the screenshots indicates that the visit forms part of a broader effort to strengthen military-to-military engagement and widen practical cooperation between the two countries across multiple strategic domains.
