CBI Unearths Alleged Conspiracy

According to the CBI, a case was registered on June 8, 2024, against a total of 10 accused. This includes the arrested NHAI official, six other individuals (including an NHAI Consultant, his Resident Engineer, and four employees of the private company), and the private company itself along with its two Directors.

The CBI alleges that the two Directors of the private company, in conspiracy with their employees, were involved in bribing NHAI officials to secure undue favors related to the Jhansi-Khajuraho Project. These favors allegedly included the final handover of the project, the issuance of a no-objection certificate (NOC), and the processing of the final bill.
