SHOCKING ARREST! ‘Biryani Man’ Held for Indecent Representation of Women – The Dark Side of Social Media Exposed
The Cyber Crime Police of the South Zone, part of the Greater Chennai City Police, has taken into custody a YouTuber known as Biryani Man for posting a video that depicted women in an indecent manner. The YouTuber, Abishek Rafi, 29, operates a channel under the pseudonym ‘Biryani Man’. His arrest followed a complaint from a young woman residing in Teynampet.
The complaint was lodged with the Cyber Crime Police, South Zone, by a woman who alleged that Abishek Rafi had recently uploaded a video that not only disparaged Semmozhi Park, where she frequently takes morning walks, but also included offensive representations of women and vulgar language.
Following a thorough investigation of her complaint, the police apprehended Abishek Rafi and subsequently remanded him to judicial custody.
The incident has drawn significant attention to the responsibilities of content creators and the impact of their online presence.
