NEW DELHI: Ankush Mishra, Deputy SP Cyber Crime of the Uttarakhand Police, was honored with the prestigious Excellence in Cyber Policing recognition at the recently concluded FutureCrime Summit 2024. The summit, held on February 8-9 in New Delhi, brought together luminaries from various sectors to deliberate on combating cyber threats and digital crimes.

Powerbank Scam (2021): Ankush Mishra played a pivotal role in dismantling a major online scam that duped millions of Indians through a fraudulent mobile application. His efforts resulted in the arrest of over 20 individuals and the initiation of over 250 criminal cases, shedding light on the misuse of cryptocurrency in transnational financial crimes.

Fraud Website Case (2022): Unraveling another intricate web of deceit, Mishra uncovered a fraudulent website operating from abroad, exposing the clandestine flow of funds via hawala channels and cryptocurrency. This case also uncovered the nexus between Bollywood producers and illicit financial operators.
Operation Mewat/Operation Jamtara (2021): Ankush Mishra spearheaded an operation targeting cybercriminal hotspots in Mewat and Jamtara, resulting in the apprehension of 17 individuals and sending a stern message against cybercrime.
Operation Trinetra (2022): His strategic leadership led to simultaneous raids across five cities in India, resulting in the arrest of numerous cybercriminals.
Call Centre Raids: Mishra’s vigilance led to the busting of multiple fake call centers, including one of North India’s largest, resulting in the seizure of significant assets and the arrest of numerous individuals.
