Senior Advocate and Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi has declared total assets worth approximately ₹2,558 crore in the election affidavit filed with his nomination for the Rajya Sabha elections from Telangana.

The affidavit details the assets held by Singhvi, his spouse, and their Hindu Undivided Family (HUF), including investments, property, valuables, and financial liabilities.

Assets and income details

According to the disclosure, Singhvi reported annual income exceeding ₹374 crore for the financial year 2024–25.

His income in previous years was also substantial:

  • ₹333+ crore in 2023–24
  • ₹359+ crore in 2022–23
  • ₹290+ crore in 2021–22
  • ₹158+ crore in 2020–21

Breakdown of wealth

The affidavit lists a wide range of movable and immovable assets, including:

  • Bank deposits and financial investments such as shares and mutual funds
  • Residential properties in New Delhi
  • Loans and advances given to individuals and companies
  • Vehicles, jewellery, and artwork collections

Singhvi reportedly holds artworks and paintings worth over ₹25 crore, while jewellery worth ₹2.4 crore is declared in his name and ₹157.5 crore in his wife’s name.

Loans and liabilities

The affidavit states that Singhvi has extended personal loans of around ₹353.32 crore, while his spouse has provided loans to companies worth about ₹72.99 crore.

It also records income tax dues exceeding ₹63 crore.

Other disclosures

The document notes that Singhvi has no criminal convictions, though it mentions a 2014 prosecution complaint by the Income Tax Department over alleged under-reporting of income. Proceedings in that case are currently stayed by the Delhi High Court.
