Why did the dispute arise?

According to her account, she subsequently received information that he was preparing to marry another woman. She alleged that when she raised the issue of their marriage with him, he refused to marry her, leading to a dispute between them.

The woman has also accused the man of assaulting and threatening her when she raised the subject of marriage. She further alleged that he had taken jewellery from her in the name of arranging treatment for her son.

Her complaint includes allegations of a false promise of marriage, assault, threats and taking jewellery. These claims remain allegations and are now part of the police investigation.

The woman has asked the Kotwali police to take action in the matter, saying that the man had withdrawn from the relationship after she had relied on his assurance that they would marry.

What action have police taken?

Kotwali police have registered a case against Abhishek Shukla following the woman’s complaint and have begun examining the allegations.
