After the stipulated investment periods ended, investors allegedly neither received the promised returns nor recovered their principal amounts.

What Is Satyanarayan Pal Accused Of?
During its investigation, the EOW identified Pal as an agent of the company who allegedly played a role in collecting money from investors.
According to the agency, he collected approximately ₹98.56 lakh from members of the public through the company and allegedly misappropriated the funds.
He was identified as a wanted accused and arrested from Gajner on Friday.
How Many People Are Under Investigation?
The EOW investigation has found the alleged involvement of 13 people in the case.
Investigators are examining the role of each person in operating the company, promoting its investment schemes, collecting money and issuing documents to investors.
The roles of the other 12 people identified during the investigation remain under examination.
What Records Are Being Examined?
Investigators are scrutinising bonds, receipts and other investment documents issued to investors.
The EOW is also examining financial transactions to determine how the collected funds were used and whether they were diverted or misappropriated.
Investigators are trying to establish the total number of people who invested through the company’s schemes and identify those who deposited money through Pal.
Why Is the Arrest Significant?
Pal’s arrest comes nearly nine years after the case was registered.
The investigation into the company’s wider network of agents and other people allegedly involved remains underway. Further action will depend on financial records, documents and other evidence gathered during the investigation.
The420 Takeaway: High Returns Need Higher Scrutiny
Promises of unusually attractive returns should be independently verified before money is invested. Investors should check the entity offering the scheme, preserve receipts and investment documents, and avoid relying solely on assurances made by agents.
