The much-anticipated Certified Cyber Crime Investigator (CCCI) Programme, an advanced capacity-building initiative by the Centre for Police Technology (CPT), has been postponed. The course, which was originally scheduled to commence on 6th April 2026, will now be rescheduled due to certain unavoidable reasons.
The Centre for Police Technology has clarified that fresh dates, along with the revised mode of engagement, will be announced in due course. Participants and stakeholders are advised to stay connected for official updates regarding the new schedule and course delivery format.
The CCCI programme was envisioned as a flagship certification aimed at strengthening cyber investigation capabilities across India’s law enforcement and security ecosystem. Designed for police personnel, law enforcement agencies (LEAs), paramilitary forces, defence personnel, and cybersecurity professionals, the programme focuses on building practical, court-ready cyber forensic and investigative skills.
Our total training capacity is only 500 participants, but 4,190 police officers from across India have registered for the Certified Cyber Crime Investigator course.
Due to this and certain technical limitations, we have had to cancel the schedule for the time being.
We will soon come back with a new platform so that all participants can be trained.
With cybercrime becoming increasingly complex ranging from encrypted communications and dark web operations to cryptocurrency frauds and AI-driven threats the programme aims to equip participants with hands-on expertise across more than 40 critical domains of cyber investigation and digital forensics.
While the postponement may temporarily delay the rollout of this important initiative, CPT has reaffirmed its commitment to continuous learning and capacity building. In the interim, the Centre will be organising topic-specific webinars on a regular basis to ensure ongoing engagement with the cyber policing and investigation community.
These webinars will cover emerging cyber threats, investigative techniques, and technological advancements relevant to practitioners in the field. Announcements and updates regarding these sessions will be made through the official LinkedIn page of the Centre for Police Technology.
