In Amethi, the head clerk of the department filed a complaint alleging that on December 26, 2024, Manoj Kumar Shukla summoned him to his chamber, forcibly took his mobile phone, obtained his PhonePe password, and transferred ₹40,000 to the account of his wife, Dr. Anju Shukla. The complaint also cited the use of caste-based bias and derogatory language during the incident.
A preliminary inquiry confirmed that the head clerk’s bank account was misused for the forced transfer. Following verification of these allegations, Manoj Kumar Shukla was immediately suspended and removed from his post in Amethi. A senior official from the Social Welfare Department was appointed as the investigating officer, who conducted a detailed probe and validated the evidence.
Hardoi Financial Irregularities: Tender Process Violations
In Hardoi, Harsh Mewar faced accusations of bypassing proper tender processes for employee salaries and payments, violating financial regulations by executing work through quotations, and ignoring standard procurement rules.
