A joint inspection of the security arrangements at the Taj Mahal was conducted on 6 February 2026, with members of the Taj Mahal Permanent Security Committee reviewing preparedness at the historic monument.
The inspection was carried out collectively by senior officials including the Additional Director, Intelligence Bureau, Agra Police Commissioner Deepak Kumar (IPS), IG CISF, Additional Police Commissioner Agra, DIG PAC Agra, DCP City, Commandant PAC 15th Battalion, Commandant CISF, Additional District Magistrate (City), Superintending Archaeologist (ASI), DFO, ACP Taj Security, along with officers from the Agra Development Authority, Municipal Corporation, Tourism Department, and other administrative departments.

The officials jointly inspected the Taj Mahal premises and assessed the existing security measures in place.
Following the site visit, a meeting of the Taj Mahal Permanent Security Committee was held at the Circuit House, Agra. During the meeting, detailed discussions were conducted on various measures aimed at making the monument’s security more robust, modern, and multi-layered.
All concerned departments were instructed to work in coordination, maintain continuous monitoring, and ensure preparedness to effectively address any potential security threats.
