Lucknow: A harrowing case of gang rape involving a third-year B.Tech student from a Noida university has surfaced in Lucknow. The 25-year-old victim, originally from Gorakhpur, has filed a complaint at the Indiranagar police station, accusing four men of the crime.

Incident Details

The victim reportedly befriended one of the accused, Satish Kashyap, a resident of Takrohi in Indiranagar, on Instagram a few months ago. On December 12, Satish invited her to Lucknow, where he picked her up in his SUV near BBD University and took her for a drive around Gomti Nagar.

Later that night, Satish allegedly took her to a room in Amarai village, where his three associates—Yusuf, Jatin, and Mannu Yadav—were waiting. The four men held the victim at gunpoint, brutally gang-raped her, and threatened to kill her if she resisted.

Delayed Complaint Due to Fear

The next day, Satish dropped the victim back near BBD University, warning her to remain silent about the assault. Traumatized and fearing for her life, the victim returned to Noida. However, on December 15, she mustered the courage to report the crime at Indiranagar police station.

Police Investigation Underway

Inspector Sunil Kumar Tiwari stated that teams have been deployed to arrest the accused, and a thorough investigation is ongoing. The police assured that every effort would be made to ensure justice for the victim.

This case has once again highlighted the grave issue of women’s safety and the need for swift action against such heinous crimes.
