48 Arrested as Telangana Cyber Security Bureau Cracks Down on Cybercriminals
In a state-wide cybercrime operation, the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) arrested 48 individuals involved in online fraud, affecting cases nationwide. This crackdown aligns with TGCSB’s zero-tolerance policy towards cybercrime, marking a substantial step towards digital safety.

The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) recently led a large-scale operation across the state to combat cybercrime. Working closely with local police units, the bureau successfully apprehended 48 individuals involved in cyber fraud, including 38 mule account holders and 10 agents, who facilitated online scams. The operation has unraveled fraud cases involving financial losses amounting to Rs 8,16,44,785. This bust links to 508 reported cases within Telangana and an alarming 2,194 cases across India, signaling the massive reach of these cybercriminal networks.

The TGCSB team seized a substantial amount of evidence, including 53 mobile phones, laptops, and bank passbooks, believed to be essential in facilitating fraudulent activities.
