The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken NIA DSP Ajay Pratap Singh and two others into custody in connection with a bribery scandal, initiating an in-depth interrogation. The CBI is currently scrutinizing the bank accounts of all three individuals. The case gained momentum after Rocky Yadav, the son of former MLC provided the CBI with incriminating evidence in the form of WhatsApp call recordings and chats, which exposed Ajay Pratap Singh’s involvement in corruption and led to his arrest.

Details of the Incident:

On Sunday, Ajay Pratap Singh’s brother-in-law, Himanshu, guided the investigative team to a location in Bhabhua where a bribe of Rs 25 lakh had allegedly been taken from Rocky Yadav. The CBI has since verified the spot and initiated a thorough investigation of the evidence. It has come to light that the DSP tried several tactics to cover up his actions, but all his efforts proved futile. WhatsApp call recordings, including both audio and video, were provided to the CBI, along with chats and other documents, further solidifying the case against him.

It was also revealed that the Rs 25 lakh bribe was collected by Himanshu in a Thar vehicle registered under his name. The vehicle was registered in Varanasi and bore a UP license plate. Himanshu’s close associate, is also believed to have played a significant role in the entire operation and is being questioned by the CBI on multiple fronts.
