Cybersecurity Startup CloudSEK Raises $ 7 Million in Series A Funding to Accelerate Global Expansion
BENGALURU: CloudSEK, a cybersecurity startup, has raised $7 million (approximately Rs. 50 crore) in a Series A funding round led by MassMutual Ventures.
The current raise will be used to boost the company’s sales and marketing operations across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and North America, according to the company. In order to address the increasingly sophisticated global threat landscape, the corporation will also increase its R&D efforts. The company leverages AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Machine Learning (ML) to combat cyber threats.
CloudSEK, which has been in operation for six years, uses unique data sets, proprietary machine learning (ML) models, and non-intrusive methodologies to proactively discover, assess, and resolve cyber threats.
Other investors in the round included Omidyar Network India, 100X Entrepreneur, Group Meeran angel investors Firoz and Navas Meeran, and Cred creator Kunal Shah-promoted QED Innovation Labs.

Existing investors Exfinity Venture Partners, IDFC Parampara, and StartupXseed Ventures also participated in this round of funding.
CloudSEK, headquatered in Singapore, was formed in 2015 by cybersecurity expert Rahul Sasi, with the aim to construct a future where intelligent machines can emulate human cognition to predict cyber threats even before they occur.
“Humans can accurately predict rain with the help of data sources and mathematical models. Cloudsek aims to do something similar in the cyber space. Our technology focus is to predict cyber-attacks, even before they occur, by leveraging our AI platform. To achieve this, we have assembled a world class team of engineers, researchers, and cybersecurity experts. This approach has taken us from 6 customers to 100+ customers, and we aim to acquire another 300 customers in the next 2 years,” said Rahul Sasi, Founder & Chairman, CloudSEK. With this round, CloudSEK’s total investment now amounts at around $10 million.
