According to the Sports Authority of India (SAI), they have received many complaints from grassroots players from across the country that they have applied for participation in the 2021 Khelo India Games in Panchkula but now they are getting no response.

On further investigation, they found that a fake Facebook page was created through which young talents were targeted.

SAI reported the matter to the police after which Agra police found that Khelo India advertisement was advertised on Facebook and players were asked to deposit Rs 6,000 to participate in the Khelo India camp. They assured that by depositing the money they will secure their place in the games after the trial.
