Phishing attacks are a form of social engineering that involves sending fake emails that appear to be from an official channel or a reputed company. The main objective of these attacks is to steal confidential data like passwords, which can help attackers steal money or access personal data that they can hold for ransom.

To avoid falling into the trap of these phishing attacks, YouTube advises users to be careful about the content and the sender of the email. Some tips include checking the sender’s email ID for any typos, ensuring that the name of the sender and email ID are the same, and taking the cursor to the attached link to check if it shows the correct URL.
