Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the immediate registration of an FIR against Ansal Group in Lucknow, assuring homebuyers that their rights will be safeguarded. This decision follows the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) initiating insolvency proceedings against the company, as per an official statement.

Crackdown on Ansal Group’s Fraudulent Practices
During a review meeting with the Housing and Urban Planning Department, CM Adityanath strongly condemned the alleged deceptive practices of the Ansal Group, stating that exploitation of homebuyers would not be tolerated. He instructed authorities to take stringent action against all officials associated with the company’s misdeeds.

The Chief Minister also ordered that FIRs be lodged in every district where similar complaints against the Ansal Group have surfaced, using the Lucknow case as a precedent. Furthermore, he directed the formation of a committee comprising representatives from the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) and affected buyers to ensure that substantial evidence is presented in court for strict legal action against the company.

Legal Action Against NCLAT’s Decision
Officials informed CM Adityanath that the NCLAT had issued an order initiating insolvency proceedings without consulting the Lucknow Development Authority and the Housing Department. Expressing displeasure over this, he instructed the concerned authorities to file an appeal in the public interest challenging the tribunal’s decision.

  • Fast-tracking property disposals
  • Ensuring land availability for the construction of 100 hotels and 100 hospitals

Focus on Quality Construction and Planned Urban Growth
Highlighting the importance of high-quality construction, the Chief Minister warned against unplanned urbanization. To improve living conditions in urban slums, he directed the Development Authority and Housing Board to build modern residential facilities, parks, and gyms. He also suggested constructing high-rise buildings where necessary to maximize space and enhance urban living standards.

GIS-Based Master Plans and Land Acquisition
CM Adityanath set a March deadline for implementing GIS-based master plans across various districts. Additionally, he instructed authorities to speed up land acquisition for the Agra Inner Ring Road and Raipur project, ensuring seamless coordination with local farmers.

The Chief Minister also called for the fast-tracking of urban expansion projects in Jhansi, Bareilly, Aligarh, Gorakhpur, Bulandshahr, Chitrakoot, and Agra under the CM Urban Expansion New City Promotion Scheme. He emphasized the importance of proactive planning to manage urban growth effectively and ensure sustainable development.

Fast-Tracking Lucknow’s International Convention Center
During the review, CM Adityanath also assessed the progress of the International Exhibition and Convention Center in Lucknow. He directed officials to expedite the remaining work to ensure timely completion of the project.
