2. Rs 40 Crore Funneled into Mule Accounts in Cyber Heist, Rs 33 Crore Recovered
Mumbai: Fraudsters transferred Rs 40 crore from IndusInd Bank customers into mule accounts, but prompt action by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell saved Rs 33 crore. 3. Cyber Police Issue Summons to X User in Case Involving LS Speaker’s Relative
Mumbai: Maharashtra cyber police summoned an X user and seven others for posting defamatory content about Anjali Birla, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla’s daughter. A parody account falsely claimed she cleared the UPSC exam due to her father’s influence. A complaint led to identifying and summoning the involved users.
4. Pune Resident Loses Rs 9.3 Lakh to Cybercriminals Over Fake Arrest Threat
A 68-year-old Pune man was duped of Rs 9.35 lakh in a “drugs in parcel” scam. Cybercriminals, posing as police and courier staff, falsely accused him of money laundering and drug trafficking. They coerced him into transferring money for a fake investigation. He later filed a police complaint.

5. Vizag: Tech Professional Swindled Out of Rs 28 Lakh by Online Scammers
In Visakhapatnam, an engineering graduate lost Rs 28 lakh to a cyber dating scam. Police arrested one gang member, Kommagoni Lokesh, and are searching for two others.
