Supreme Court Targeted by Phishing: 15 Fake Websites Impersonate Official Portal
NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court of India has fallen prey to a significant phishing attack, with as many as 15 fraudulent websites impersonating its official portal.
These fake platforms have been designed to deceive users into sharing sensitive personal and confidential information.
In a public notice, H.S. Jaggi, Registrar (Technology) of the Supreme Court, revealed that these deceptive websites are hosted under URLs such as
- www.scigoin.com
- www.judiciarycheck.in
- www.sclcase.com and others
These sites mimic the official website of the Supreme Court www.sci.gov.in, and aim to extract personal details from unsuspecting visitors.

“The attackers are soliciting confidential information through these URLs. We strongly urge the public to refrain from sharing any personal details on these platforms as they risk falling victim to identity theft,” stated the Registry in its advisory.

The Supreme Court emphasized that it never requests personal, financial, or confidential information from users. To avoid falling prey to such scams, individuals are advised to:
- Verify URLs by hovering over links before clicking.
- Avoid sharing sensitive information on unverified websites.
- Be cautious of unsolicited links received via messages or emails.
What to Do if You’re a Victim
If you suspect that your information has been compromised, the Supreme Court advises:
1. Changing passwords for all online accounts immediately.
2. Contacting your bank or credit card provider to report unauthorized access.
