Rajasthan Police Uncovers Cyber Fraud Ring: Seven Arrested in Major Crackdown

Rajasthan: Rajasthan Police, led by Senior Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kumar, conducted a successful operation on August 26, 2024, targeting a group involved in fraudulent activities. The operation, named “Anti-Virus Operation,” resulted in the arrest of multiple suspects from a specific location near the checkpoint at Tonk village.

Modus Operandi: The suspects were involved in fraudulent schemes where they would extort money from people by pretending to offer services like insurance and mobile connections. They would ask victims for money or valuable items in exchange for these fake services.

Arrest and seizure: Seven individuals were apprehended during the operation, and one managed to escape. The police seized eight mobile phones, eight SIM cards, and a vehicle used by the suspects. The suspects were arrested under various sections of the law, and further investigations are ongoing.

Team Lead: The operation was led by Station Officer Yashwant Singh, supported by a team of police officers from the Tonk police station.

Police Station Involved: The operation was carried out by officers from the Tonk police station, under the supervision of senior officials from the Deeg district police department.
