MoU Between ICAI & Polish Chamber of Statutory Auditors: Cabinet Approves Memorandum To Establish Mutual Co-operation

NEW DELHI: The Union Cabinet approved the signing of two Memorandums of Understanding on Wednesday (MoU).

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and the Polish Chamber of Statutory Auditors (PIBR) signed the first Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish mutual cooperation in the areas of Member Management, Professional Ethics, Technical Research, CPD, Professional Accountancy Training, Audit Quality Monitoring, Advancement of Accounting Knowledge, Professional and Intellectual Development.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is a statutory body formed under the Chartered Accountants Act of 1949 to regulate the profession of Chartered Accountants in India. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between ICAI and PIBR, Poland, aims to expand the organization’s position in Europe by providing chances for ICAI Members to work in Poland in the medium to long term.

The second Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Competition Commission of India (CCI) and the Competition Commission of Mauritius (CCM) to promote and deepen cooperation in competition law and policy.

The MoU intends to promote and deepen cooperation in competition law and policy through information exchange, best practises sharing, and capacity building activities.

It is expected to reduce anti-competitive barriers on foreign trade, strengthen CCI enforcement of the Competition Act of 2002, promote understanding of competition policy, and deliver diplomatic benefits.
