Nuh area in Haryana has become a cybercrime hotspot due to the rise of “sextortion” and online fraud. Sextortion is a form of cybercrime where perpetrators blackmail their victims using sexually explicit material obtained through online communication.

Nuh has become a hub for cybercriminals due to its lack of development and poor law enforcement. Criminals have been taking advantage of the area’s high poverty rates and lack of awareness about online safety to carry out their illegal activities.

Area’s proximity to Delhi, Gurgaon, and Faridabad has made it an easy target for cybercriminals who operate from these cities. The criminals use sophisticated techniques to manipulate victims into giving them money, often by posing as authority figures or using social engineering tactics.

Police in the area have been ineffective in combating cybercrime due to a lack of training and resources. However, the Haryana government has recently launched a cybercrime awareness campaign and established a cybercrime police station in Nuh to address the problem.
