Dehradun, Uttarakhand — In a landmark collaboration aimed at fortifying India’s digital infrastructure, the Future Crime Research Foundation (FCRF), in association with CERT-In and the Institute of Cooperative Management (ICM), Dehradun, is organizing an intensive Two-Day Cyber Crisis Management Workshop in the scenic foothills of Mussoorie on 28th and 29th April 2025.

This workshop, part of FCRF’s ongoing national mission to enhance cyber resilience across sectors, comes at a crucial time when cyber crisis drills have become non-negotiable under the latest mandates from India’s top BFSI regulators including RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, and NABARD.

Understanding the Urgency: Cyber Crisis Is No Longer a Hypothetical Risk

With the ever-evolving threat landscape—ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS), deepfake scams, credential theft, and advanced persistent threats (APTs)—the Indian government and regulatory bodies are pushing organizations to proactively prepare.

As per new frameworks:

  • RBI mandates regular breach simulations and tabletop drills for banks, NBFCs, and payment operators.
  • SEBI requires cyber drills and annual vulnerability assessments across critical market intermediaries.
  • IRDAI insists on periodic disaster recovery and third-party risk assessments for insurers.
  •  NABARD urges rural banks and cooperatives to conduct cybersecurity risk drills for digital banking in remote zones.

In this context, FCRF’s initiative serves as a timely intervention aligning with national priorities.

Set to be hosted at ICM, Dehradun, this residential/offline format workshop offers a unique blend of regulatory insights, hands-on threat simulations, and policy drafting guidancefor digital risk professionals across public and private sectors.
