The Noida Authority has launched a strong campaign against illegal construction in Noida, targeting unauthorized buildings and unauthorized property sales. CEO Lokesh M confirmed that 150 such buildings have been identified, with FIRs filed in 125 cases so far.

This crackdown is focused on structures built without approvals or on unauthorized land owned by the Authority. Several of these cases involve buildings that are being sold as flats and shops without legal permissions.

Key areas affected:

  • Sector-49
  • Barola
  • Hajipur
  • Sector-121
  • FNG Road

A growing network of real estate operators posing as colonizers appears to be behind the construction and illegal sale of these properties.

Real Estate Mafia Under Scanner

Investigators believe a real estate mafia is operating behind the scenes, aggressively marketing illegal flats and commercial units to unsuspecting buyers. These activities are happening in areas that are witnessing rapid urban development, often with little oversight.

But the situation raises an uncomfortable question: how did such widespread illegal construction go unnoticed for so long?

Were Officials Complicit in the Irregularities?

Serious concerns are being raised about possible collusion between builders and government officials. Sources suggest that many of these constructions would not have been possible without some level of support or at least, willful ignorance from authorities.

Questions the public is now asking:

Why was there no early intervention?

Did officials ignore violations intentionally?

Will those in administrative positions also be held accountable?

These issues remain central to the credibility of the Noida Authority’s current campaign.

Next Steps: Demolitions, Notices, and More FIRs

CEO Lokesh M has confirmed that this is not a symbolic move. The Authority is actively posting notices on illegal buildings, marking them clearly, and preparing for demolition where required.

Current steps being taken:

FIRs filed in 125 cases

Legal notices served to offenders

Illegal buildings labeled publicly

Demolition action planned as per rules

“No one will be spared,” the CEO stated. “We are running a continuous campaign, and strict action will be taken against all illegal constructions.”
