Kerala Police Cyberdome Becomes First State Police To Get ISO 27001 Certification

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The ISO 27001 Certificate for the Year 2021 was awarded to Cyberdome, a centre of excellence for Kerala Police in cyber security, on Wednesday.

For the first time in India, the ISO 27001 Certification has been awarded to a State Police Cyberdome for its outstanding performance in addressing escalating cyber security problems.

DGP Anil Kant received the ISO certificate from Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at a function held at the chief minister’s office here on Tuesday.

The ceremony was attended by ADGP-HQ Manoj Abraham, who is also the Nodal Officer for Cyberdome, City Police Commissioner Balram Kumar Upadhyay, and DIG P Prakash.

Cyberdome is a public-private partnership programme that pools the resources of multiple stakeholders to increase the ability to meet the ever-increasing cyber security threats.

The Cyberdome envisions an online office of technical specialists, ethical hackers, and cyber professionals who can help police with cyber security and cybercrime investigation.

This was the fourth year in a row that the Kerala Police Cyberdome received this honour.
