Watch: How Criminals Hack Important Institutions’ Helpline Numbers, Dupe Customers
While Google is a tried and tested way to resolve several of your queries, what happens when the features made for your convenience are misused by cybercriminals? In the latest, scamsters pose as Google executives and call up helpline numbers of important institutions like hospitals and con them to forward all incoming calls to the hospitals their own way. Hackers then dupe customers, who think they are calling the hospital, by offering lucrative deals – but in the process steal their banking details and withdraw their hard-earned money.
