Investigators identified 60 bank accounts associated with the network, with transactions reportedly exceeding ₹25 crore over three years.

How Did the Cyber Fraud Network Operate?

Police alleged that the gang attracted people by promising quick financial returns through online gaming and cryptocurrency investments.

The accused reportedly purchased digital coins and resold them at higher prices while also converting cryptocurrency into Indian rupees.

Investigators suspect that the operation was conducted under instructions from a main handler who had allegedly developed a larger network involving thousands of young people across the country.

What Did Police Seize?

During the operation, police recovered ₹4.97 lakh in cash, six gold biscuits weighing 60 grams in total and 20 smartphones.

The seized materials also included 25 bank passbooks, 30 chequebooks, 44 debit and credit cards, 18 land documents, Aadhaar and PAN cards, a thumb scanner and a banking QR machine.

Police said approximately ₹10 lakh had been placed on hold, while some accounts linked to the network had previously been frozen by police in other states.

An FIR has been registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Online Gaming Act, 2025.

Police are continuing their investigation to identify the alleged handler and examine the network’s connections across other states. The probe is also focused on tracing the financial transactions and determining the involvement of additional individuals suspected of facilitating the operation.
