These individuals were lured by fake job offers and forced into harsh conditions. The embassy thanked Lao authorities and warned against dubious recruitment practices targeting Indians.

2. Beware: Cybercriminals Exploit PDF Files to Steal Bank Information
Cybercriminals are scamming individuals by sending virus-infected PDF files via WhatsApp, disguised as messages from the Union Bank of India. Opening these files triggers unauthorized bank transfers.
