Eight arrests were made, with 42 accounts scrutinized, revealing massive inter-state cybercrime operations.

2. School Trustee Prevents Rs 50 Lakh Cyber Fraud with Police Awareness Tips
A school trustee in Ahmedabad foiled a Rs 50 lakh cyber fraud attempt after scammers posing as TRAI officials threatened him with “digital arrest.” Remembering tips from a police awareness session, he alerted the principal, who called the police. Sanand GIDC police intervened, thwarting the scam.

3. Government Blocks 80 Lakh SIM Cards and Mobile Numbers to Combat Cybercrime in India
The Indian government deactivated 80 lakh SIM cards issued using fake documents to combat cybercrime. Using AI tools, the DoT identified fraudulent numbers and blocked 6.78 lakh mobile numbers directly linked to cybercrime, ensuring secure telecommunications and preventing illegal activities.

5. TGCSB Refunds Rs 33 Crore to Cybercrime Victims in Mega Lok Adalat
The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) refunded Rs 33.27 crore to 4,893 cyber fraud victims during a Lok Adalat. With Rs 155.22 crore recovered this year, TGCSB leads national cybercrime recovery efforts, aided by legal partnerships and specialized police stations. Victims are urged to report fraud immediately via helpline 1930.
