Punjab Police Becomes India’s First Force To Recruit Civilian Experts For Cutting-Edge Investigations

Punjab Police Recruitment 2021: The Punjab Police Department has issued a call for applications for 634 positions. These positions are available in various departments like Information technology, IT, Legal, Forensics, and Finance.

With this Punjab Police becomes the first Police Service in the country to recruit civilian domain experts in such large numbers.

Punjab Police Recruitment 2021: Eligibility criteria

Candidates with a bachelor’s degree and two to ten years of work experience in a discipline related to the domain where the positions are available are eligible to apply.

Candidates will be chosen solely on the basis of merit, as determined by their performance in the Computer Based Written Examination.

In the month of July, Captain Amarinder Singh-led Council of Ministers paved the way for Punjab Police to become India’s first police force to hire civilians as domain experts in IT/Digital, Legal Forensics, and Finance to give its investigation functions a high-quality cutting edge.

It would aid in improving the quality of NDPS investigations into drug smugglers and suppliers. Graduates in law, forensics, commerce, and other fields would be able to get jobs and advance their careers in the Punjab Police Service as a result of such recruitment.
