Curb Crime Against Women & Monitor Social Media: UP DGP Mukul Goel
VARANASI: Uttar Pradesh DGP Mukul Goel on Sunday instructed to speed up the investigation and effective action in cases of crime against women and social media should be monitored and correct facts should be presented infront of the media. Goel who was present in Varanasi held a security review meeting to access law and order situation in the state
He instructed that complaints should be heard promptly and disposal of efficiently in a limited timeframe. The pending disputes should be disposed of at the earliest.
He also asked to hold a frequent meeting should be held to establish communication with the representative. SHO and police station in-charge should be appointed based on their performance and abilities.
Senior officials should stay in the district and try to be in public more. He said senior police officers should also inspect the stations and police force regularly and their issues should be resolved during the Friday parade.
For the safety of businessmen and traders, a monthly meeting should be done and effective action should be taken on suggestions and recommendations during the meeting. Goel also instructed to deploy police force in large numbers at major commercial establishments, busy markets and regular patrolling should be done.
ADG- Varanasi Zone Brij Bhushan and Inspector General of Police, A Satish Ganesh were also present in the meeting.
