1. ICICI Deputy Manager Arrested for Alleged Ties to Cybercriminals; 18th Banker Detained This Year
ICICI Bank’s Akashdeep Singh was arrested for allegedly aiding cybercriminals in a Rs 25.5 lakh fraud case. He and a colleague opened accounts for fraudsters, routing defrauded money. He is the 18th banker arrested for similar offenses since February.
2. Police Cannot Freeze Bank Accounts Without Specifying Fraud Amount
The Madras High Court ruled that investigating agencies cannot freeze an entire bank account involved in financial fraud without specifying the fraudulent amount, as it infringes on the fundamental right to trade and livelihood.

5. Bank Officer Detained for Assisting in Rs 25.5 Lakh Cyber Fraud
Akashdeep Singh, a deputy manager at a Punjab bank, was arrested for aiding cybercriminals in defrauding a Gurgaon resident of Rs 25.5 lakh. He and a colleague received commissions for opening fraudulent bank accounts used in the scam.
