2. Himachal Pradesh Residents Defrauded of Rs 44 Crore in Cyber Scams
Himachal Pradesh has seen a drastic rise in cybercrime, with Rs 44 crore stolen from residents in seven months. Over 5,000 complaints were filed this year, with 110 cases involving cyber fraud. The police urge vigilance as cybercriminals use phone hacks to drain bank accounts.

3. A multinational firm’s Manager Loses Rs 51.36 Lakh in Online Fraud
A 53-year-old manager was defrauded of Rs 51.36 lakh by cybercriminals who promised substantial stock market returns. The fraudsters created a convincing virtual platform, showing fake profits of Rs 26 crore, and demanded additional payment before the victim realized it was a scam.
4. DSCI and British High Commission Launch Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign in 15 Madhya Pradesh Schools
The Data Security Council of India, supported by the British High Commission, launched a four-month cyber awareness drive in 15 schools across Madhya Pradesh. The ‘Cyber for YOUth’ initiative aims to educate 5,000 students, teachers, and administrators on cyber safety and digital hygiene.
