Focus On Cyber Crime: 19 New Posts For Senior Officers Created By UP Police

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Police has added 19 new posts at a senior level to combat rising cases of cyber crime in the state. The move will help the state police in getting technologically sound senior officers to track technical cases like financial fraud, social media crime, banking scams, cases of hacking and other digital frauds.

According to a senior official, posts for 16 deputy superintendent of police (DSP) and Three Additional Superintend of Police (ASP) has been created in cyber crime. These senior officials will be deployed across the state.

The officer added that these posts will be filled by cops with good technical knowledge so that they fasten the investigation and action taken against the cyber criminals.

Top cop of the state, Mukul Goel Director-General of Police (DGP) of Uttar Pradesh has given special stress of investigating cyber crime cases. He has conducted special training for police forces and strengthening the investigating infrastructure at the ground level.
